The weather was against us from the start as per the rest of the country and due to this a few members rang in saying that they would be staying at home in the dry. This event continues to clash dates with the Bromley Pageant and could do better to move their dates in my opinion, that said the Museum is a splendid setting and there is much to see and do with the River Medway nearby for riverboat rides too. Thanks to the members who braved the wet and came along with their vehicles and made good company. Some pictures will be posted soon.

I lived in Kent for years and didn't know this place existed.

Here are the pictures of the rain soaked Cobtree show. Even the Classics banner takes a battering from the wind & rain. MGB squeezes in between its modern counterparts, the MX5. (Can you spot Classics committee member Frank Saw?) French and Swedish classics survive English summer weather. Captain (looks like a sheriff in that hat) Allan Goddard asks Avant owner, Chris Hodgson, if its waterproof. Classics treasurer Alan Ashby and IGCM Brian Adams hide from the rain and raise a smile. More French candies. Larger and smaller classics. A pair of Austins. Hiding under the trees. And the band played on. Photos by David Marsh.

Hi - some great pics - and in answer to that question - "is it waterproof?" (see above)... erm, no it isn't exactly waterproof... I sometimes have to resort to driving with my left leg in a black bin-liner to avoid catching the drips from the windscreen... [No, wearing a black bin-liner on your left leg is NOT a CSMA Classic's ritual... well, as far as I know it isn't!!]
