Wow what a wet day. Left the garage this morning, with roof up, at 06.15 for the journey to Newbury, headlights on all the way due to the monsooning weather. Got to the show site to find that some of the members were already there braving the soaked site, hiding in our gazebo from the weather. An hour after the opening time even some of the traders had packed up and gone home, due I think to the constant wind and driving rain. An hour or so later, I too decided it was time to leave, returning home via Busters house for a coffee to thaw and dry out. Then off around the M25 for the next 2 hours finally getting home aound 17.00. Put car back in garage, still with roof up. Will not have to wash it when it dries out as it was like driving through a car wash all day anyway. It goes to show that despite all our efforts, and even those of the show organisers, we are only mortal and cannot control everything. We can only continue to try and bring you enjoyable events but, like today, we need your continued support. So well done everyone that endured such inclement weather and lets hope for some sunnier days ahead. Pic by Jill & Paul. Note the wind pushing against the side of the gazebo.

Sorry I missed it (or am I ? ) But thanks to my son Kris for getting my car there. Didnt want to let the side down as I had been called away to work in exotic lands.
